NURTURE’S BEST is the brainchild of Caroilín Callery. She has run a number of child based businesses and is a qualified Drama Teacher of over 20 years. She holds an Honours Diploma in Theatre Studies from St. Pats University Maynooth and an Honours Masters in Modern Drama Studies from U.C.D. – her thesis specialised in a study on the moral development of children, through a Drama-In-Education module in primary school. She has worked in Drama-in-Education extensively, using the most up to date and cutting edge practices in children’s educational development. In drama, she has always focused on developing self-awareness, creativity, communication and problem solving skills. She is interested in the work of Daniel Goleman and has infused her workshops with his renowned work on Emotional and Social Intelligences. Her workshops have also been informed by Howard Gardner’s (Professor of Education at Harvard) work on Multiple Intelligences – the different learning styles/preferences for children. She ran creativity workshops all over Ireland for over 10 years. As an Independent Professional Drama Facilitator she has worked for several County Councils, and Arts Offices, the WHB, Cavan County Arts Office and the Dept of Education, both in formal and informal learning environments. She believes passionately in a more holistic development for our children, through our education system.
Anne Marie Tiernan is the Crèche Manager. Anne Marie is a qualified Montessori teacher since 1987. She ran her own Crèche for over 10 years before moving to Rome, where she worked for 3 years at the Ambrit International School, with its highly advanced American System and multi lingual children. Since her return to Ireland she has directed 20, 3-5 year olds in the Montessori method. Her expertise has fully informed the Design Plan and Educational concepts of NURTURE’S BEST from its conception.
Together with their trained team – all whom will have minimum of Fetac Level 5 qualification or 5 years childcare experience – they are dedicated to offering a modern, advanced service, encompassed within a highly nurturing, creative and homelike environment.
