Nurture's Best Creche - Multi Award Winning Centre of Excellence
Harbour Walks & Further AfieldWeather permitting the children are brought on at least one Harbour Walk each week. This includes a walk around the Marina to have a look at the boats. Then down to the Lock to maybe watch some boats going through. Over to the Artists Nature Trail painting and back up by the Bridge, where they can watch it close and see the section which rises in the air to let the boats through – as the cars have to wait patiently.
There are also nature walks as the children often watch the Swans, stop to talk to Trixie the Harbour Dog, observe the tress and flora and fauna, picking flowers to bring back to the Crèche. One little boy last week was convinced he saw a Hippopotamus ! A large grey rock by the edge of the water ! There is a strict 3 /1 ratio for Harbour Walks and any child not strapped into our triple buggy will be wearing a life jacket for extra safety |
