In today’s world, and indeed more so for the next generation, they will have access to a much wider variety of food types and styles both at home and as they travel. We prepare a menu which reflects this development and offer a wide range of nutritious foods which includes worldwide flavours.
All the main food groups – protein, carbohydrate (the good ones!) and fats (especially Omega 3 fatty acids) – is provided for and healthy cooking methods are employed. Careful planning is used to ensure that all vitamins, minerals, trace elements and fibre are part of what is offered daily to the children in our care. There is no deep frying or fizzy drinks forming any part of our menu/service. Children help set the table and clear up daily.
At an appropriate age, part of the program involves fun cookery projects for the children. A fun way to introduce them to cooking and to some basic ideas of nutrition.
